Lab-Quality Chairside RestorationsMastering Stain and Glaze for Dentists and Their Teams (CL220)
| 13 CE Credits Prerequisites: NoneA CEREC restoration that works well clinically but looks obviously different from adjacent teeth creates a confidence problem — for the dentist and for the patient. Most practitioners producing chairside restorations have never had formal training in shade selection nuance, value matching, surface texture, or the glazing differences between glass ceramics and zirconia. The result is restorations that read as artificial, especially in the anterior, and a persistent reliance on the lab for cases that could be finished chairside.
This workshop is taught by a CDT and master ceramist, approaching finishing from a technical vantage point most clinical training never reaches. The curriculum covers shade selection and value matching, surface anatomy and contouring technique, post-mill finishing for lithium disilicate and zirconia, and stain and glaze application methods.
Participants Will Learn:
-
How to choose the right shade & value
-
How to mimic nature with contouring & anatomy (hands-on exercise)
-
Polishing both glass ceramics & zirconia (hands-on exercise)
-
Green state zirconia finishing (hands-on exercise)
-
Glaze application finishing on both glass ceramic & zirconia (hands-on exercise)
-
Proven techniques that can be easily replicated when you return to your practice
