Advanced clear aligner cases, like the ones involving custom attachments, complex IPR sequencing, refinements, and skeletal limitations, are where most aligner practices get stuck. Getting started with aligners is one milestone; building a practice that handles treatment complexity with consistency is another.
This workshop addresses the clinical challenges that go beyond case selection and diagnosis: attachment design and precise placement, IPR technique at both the software and chairside level, managing refinements when results fall short of plan, and what to do when a case exceeds what aligners can reliably accomplish. The curriculum also covers interdisciplinary integration and how to build a scalable, team-centered aligner program. Participants must bring a laptop for the digital workflow portion.
It is recommended you take both part one and part two of this workshop back-to-back.
Participants Will Learn:
-
Apply a complete orthodontic framework to clear aligner cases, from skeletal diagnosis and biomechanics to staging, attachment design, IPR strategy, and movement-limit awareness.
-
Recognize, prevent, and troubleshoot common aligner challenges, including refinements, bite changes, patient acceptance, and team workflows.
-
Integrate clear aligner therapy into restorative and interdisciplinary dentistry by using tooth movement to support occlusion, space management, periodontal considerations, and implant/restorative planning.
-
Make better clinical decisions during treatment by evaluating progress, identifying when modifications are needed, and managing refinements with a more systematic approach. You will walk away both informed and with a step-by-step troubleshooting guide.
-
Build a scalable, team-centered aligner program that improves clinical predictability, patient communication, case acceptance, and long-term practice growth.
