Fundamentals of Implant Planning & Surgery (CI110)
| 13 CE Credits Prerequisites: None
The gap between wanting to place implants and placing the first one with genuine confidence involves more than clinical technique — it involves patient selection criteria, CBCT-based treatment planning, flap design, osteotomy sequencing, and a clear framework for recognizing what's safely within scope versus what belongs with a specialist. Without that foundation, starting surgical implant placement means working without a map.
Designed for dentists new to implant surgery or returning after time away, the curriculum establishes a freehand placement foundation — the surgical understanding that all guided and advanced work builds on. The training covers implant planning from intraoral scan merged with CBCT, flap design and suturing for soft tissue management, and systemic evaluation and medical history review as they relate to surgical placement.
Participants Will Learn:
-
Plan implant placements based on the IO scan with a CBCT imaging system
-
Perform flap design and suturing for soft tissue management
-
Understand how systemic evaluations and medical history review relates to surgical implant placement
