Achieving Predictable Results in Guided Implant Surgery (CI210)
| 13 CE Credits Prerequisites: Fundamentals of Implant Planning and Surgery is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
Freehand implant placement works — until it doesn't. Angulation errors, depth miscalculations, and position choices made without restoratively driven planning create restorative complications that are difficult to solve after the implant is integrated. Crown and abutment design becomes harder, esthetic outcomes suffer, and complication risk increases.
Guided surgery addresses those variables at the planning stage, before the first cut.
This workshop is designed for implant dentists who want to move from freehand to guided technique. The curriculum covers why guided surgery produces more consistent clinical outcomes, surgical guide options within the CEREC–cone beam integration workflow, how to build treatment plans starting from the restoration rather than the surgical site, and complex case management using CEREC and cone beam together.
Participants Will Learn:
-
Explain exactly why guided surgery produces more predictable outcomes than freehand technique — and recognize the clinical situations where that difference matters most.
-
Select the right surgical guide option for each case within the CEREC-Cone Beam integration workflow, understand the differences between them, and follow a clear step-by-step process from plan to placement.
-
Build implant treatment plans starting from the restoration — and understand why prosthetically driven planning leads to more predictable results for both you and your patient.
-
Work through more complex cases using CEREC and Cone Beam together with a structured planning process you can repeat consistently from the start.
