Digital Denture Workflows (CP210)
| 12 CE Credits Prerequisites: Utilizing 3D Printing for Efficient Everyday Dentistry OR Advanced CEREC Software Mastery are HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
Recommended Prerequisite:
Utilizing 3D Printing for Efficient Everyday Dentistry (CP110)
Traditional denture workflows are time-consuming, impression-sensitive, and heavily dependent on outside labs. For practices that see edentulous patients and want more control over the clinical experience and final result, bringing denture fabrication in-house through inLab design and 3D printing is a practical option — but most dentists haven't had formal training in the digital denture workflow from impression through final assembly.
This workshop is for practices already using 3D printing for models and provisionals who are ready to extend that capability to dentures. The curriculum covers wash impression technique for existing dentures, the scans and images needed for a full reference denture, Meshmixer for virtually pouring an impression, full denture design in inLab, and how to print and assemble a denture base and teeth.
Participants Will Learn:
-
Fully understand what is needed for physical impression with a full denture workflow.
-
Understand what images are needed for a full reference denture.
-
Confidently use Meshmixer to virtually pour an impression.
-
Comfortably design a full denture with inLab software.
-
Understand how to print and assemble a denture base and teeth.
Next Recommended Workshop(s):
Advanced inLab Software Mastery (CL550)
This workshop sets the foundation to execute more comprehensive digital workflows using a combination of the CEREC and inLab 22 CAD software. Students will learn advanced procedures, such as digital waxups, splints, 3D printing model software and implant restorations. This is not an introductory course and is recommended for advanced users with significant experience with CEREC and computer software.
